Lyrics[]

H. H. Holmes[]

(Beat: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I4SeH9M-A3M verse starts at 0:33)

The first of the killers shall be the first in this battle.

You're a fictional little man, I suggest that you scidaddle.

Your fame comes from Hitchcock, I created my own infamy,

And when you check into my mansion, you'll feel a rage of jealousy!

A list of over 200 estimated killings and with the Devil himself as my witness,

This pitiful Fazbear Animatronic is no where near me, he cannot hit this!

Leave this to the professionals, you're a child, a momma's boy!

I'm cheating and I'm killing everyone I've ever known, just listen to my voice!

Norman Bates[]

(Beat: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RazOfS6mjfw)

So much evil in this world, from the whores to your Nietzsche mustache.

I'm sorry, Mr. Holmes, you're nothing like Sherlock. Tell me, where's your body stash?

My names are all puns, so I'm more than just a Normal rapper.

I'll peep through your office and then when I'm finished spying, you'll be stabbed.

You've gotten too many women, sexual intercourse is sinful.

Alfred didn't bring me fame, I'm the one who made the blood-bathtub full.

When I'm through with you, I'll leave your skeleton in a cellar to rot,

Because that's much more clean than the fate your victims had got.

H. H. Holmes[]

(Beat: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I4SeH9M-A3M)

If you think you stand a chance against me, you couldn't be more Psycho.

I'm ruining the life of my partners, scarring children, your level of scariness is low.

I'm a king of torture, you're a jester of a killer with an identity crisis that makes Oedipus look sane.

Call me Hitler's predecessor because I've got the gas chambers which Jew can never escape!

Like a poet, I've got the instinct for doing what I was born to do, while you dress up

As your own poor mother, with a staged suicide which I'm surprised you did not mess up!

Norman Bates[]

(Beat: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RazOfS6mjfw)

Anything bad about my mother you say is clearly a lie.

I've known her until her death, and believe me:

Norma Bates[]

She wouldn't even hurt a fly!

Norman Bates[]

My film is significant, even Congress is able to understand that.

I'll take your $4,000 and use it to clean off the blood that has been splat.

I spit the calm but sick rhymes from within a motel or solitude.

I've tricked people for decades, and I've got the disses, so rude.

Alfred Hitchcock Presents the battle of Bates and Holmes,

A battle that shall be watched for decades in the televisions of all homes,

So everyone shall see what happens when I knock off your top hat dome,

And like when you were sentenced in history, you shall again hang out all alone.

Rap Meanings[]

H. H. Holmes[]

The first of the killers shall be the first in this battle.

(Holmes is considered to be the first American serial killer. He also existed before Bates' story. He says he will reflect actual history by going first instead of Bates.)

You're a fictional little man, I suggest that you scidaddle.

(Bates is a fictional character, despite being based on Ed Gein, while Holmes was a real person in history. Holmes suggests that because of this, Bates should leave, or scidaddle.)

Your fame comes from Hitchcock, I created my own infamy,

(Bates is mostly known by the Alfred Hitchcock movie, Psycho, which is a film adaption of a book of the same name. Holmes, on the other hand, created his own infamy, as he was real and had killed everyone through his own ambition and was not enhanced by anyone, not even his partner.)

And when you check into my mansion, you'll feel a rage of jealousy!

(Holmes was the owner of a mansion in which people could check into, similar to a hotel or a motel. Bates was driven by jealousy when his mother got a new lover and killed them both.)

A list of over 200 estimated killings and with the Devil himself as my witness,

(Holmes was estimated to have killed about 200 people. He once said he was born with the Devil inside him, hence why he says the Devil himself is his witness.)

This pitiful Fazbear Animatronic is no where near me, he cannot hit this!

(In the book Psycho House, Bates is only shown as an animatronic, similar to those of the video game franchise'Five Nights at Freddy's, which is a horror game, which many consider to not be as scary as it just is surprising.)

Leave this to the professionals, you're a child, a momma's boy!

(Holmes is a "professional" in a serial killer sense, with how long it had taken for him to have been caught. Norman is a relatively young man, and was truamatized as a child. A momma's boy is someone who will usually run to their mother for protection as to not have to deal with it themselves. In this sense, it is a double meaning, as Norman was obsessed with his mother, and also took on her personality after having killed her.)

I'm cheating and I'm killing everyone I've ever known, just listen to my voice!

(Holmes cheated and killed off the family members of his partners, specifically killing the children and cheating him and his wife. Holmes says that Norman should listen to him instead of trying unprofessionally to kill.)

Norman Bates[]

So much evil in this world, from the whores to your Nietzsche mustache.

(Bates' mom taught him about how the world was full of evil, specifically that all women, aside from herself, are whores. He also references how evil Holmes is, but through his mustache, which is quite similar to that of German Philosopher, Freidrich Nietzsche.)

I'm sorry, Mr. Holmes, you're nothing like Sherlock. Tell me, where's your body stash?

(H. H. Holmes is a psuedonym by technicality, his real name being Herman Webster Mudgett. Holmes is also the last name of Conan Doyle character, Sherlock Holmes, who is an extremely inteligent detective. Bates says that Holmes is no where near the intellectual level of Sherlock. Holmes had hid the bodies of his victims away using a garbache chute within his mansion. Bates questions him as to the whereabouts of the bodies.)

My names are all puns, so I'm more than just a Normal rapper.

(Bates' different pseudonyms are all puns: Norman, Norma, and Normal: Norman is his actual birth name, Norma is the name of his mother, and Normal is in reference to the state of being. He references the last pseudonym by saying he's not a Normal rapper, because of his puns, meaning he has excellent wordplay.)

I'll peep through your office and then when I'm finished spying, you'll be stabbed.

(Bates peeped through a hole in the bathroom wall to see the murder of Marion Crane by his "mother". He says he will do the same to Holmes' office in his mansion, and then when he's done, he will stab Holmes, in a similar manner to what happened with Marion.)

You've gotten too many women, sexual intercourse is sinful.

(Holmes had many girlfriends and wives, and even some at the same time, which is considered to be a sin by some religions, and even by Bates who was taught that sexual intercourse.)

Alfred didn't bring me fame, I'm the one who made the blood-bathtub full.

(Bates retorts against Holmes, saying that it wasn't Alfred who brought him fame, but the other way around, as the stabbing shower scene from Psycho is the most memorable scene from the movie, and considered by some the most if not only memorable Hitchcock moment. He makes a pun on the words "bloodbath" and "bathtub", referencing how the bathtub was filled with blood.)

When I'm through with you, I'll leave your skeleton in a cellar to rot,

(IThe garbage shutes which Holmes used lead to a basement where the bodies of his victims were kept until he was found for his crimes. Bates says he will do the same to him when he's done with him. This is also a reference to how Bates' mother's body was in the basement of the Bates House. However, Holmes' were all piled up, whereas his mother's body was just sitting in a room.)

Because that's a much more clean than the fate your victims had got.

(He is again referencing what both of them had done with the bodies. However, he is more referencing his mother's body as it was more clean than bodies just piling up.)

H. H. Holmes[]

If you think you stand a chance against me, you couldn't be more Psycho.

(Referencing the movie and book of which Bates comes from, Holmes says Bates must be insane, or psycho, to think he can even stand a chance against Holmes.)

I'm ruining the life of my partners, scarring children, your level of scariness is low.

(Holmes again references how he ruined the life of his partner, Benjamin Pitezel. One of the things that was caused by him ruining the life of Pitezel was the separation of his children from each other and the parents, which could very well scar them greatly. Holmes also claims that Bates is not very scary.)

I'm a king of torture, you're a jester of a killer with an identity crisis that makes Oedipus look sane.

(Holmes also had an array of torture devices. He calls Bates a jester of killing, perhaps saying he is quite silly. Bates has an identity crisis which makes him take on his mother's personality. Holmes says this identity crisis makes Oedipus, who was known for killing his mother's lover and taking her for her own, look sane by comparison.)

Call me Hitler's predecessor because I've got the gas chambers which Jew can never escape!

(Both Hitler and Holmes had used gas as a method of killing, Holmes installing them in rooms of his mansion, while Hitler using them in gas chambers. Holmes was around and killing long before Hitler, therefore this would make him the predecessor of Hitler when it comes to killing them off using gas. He says "Jew" as a pun, on the fact that Germans sometimes replace the sound of "yuh" with "juh" therefore turning the word "you" into "Jew," and also the fac that Jews were the most prominently killed off group during the Holocaust. He says that Bates can never escape the gas chambers, as Holmes would lock his victims in the rooms while gassing them.)

Like a poet, I've got the instinct for doing what I was born to do, while you dress up

(Holmes, in the same quote in which he claimed the Devil was inside him since birth, says that his killing and evil is as instinctive as a poet is to sing, which he references here. He also references that Norman dresses up as...)

As your own poor mother, with a staged suicide which I'm surprised you did not mess up!

(...Norma Bates. Bates had the death of his mother and her lover be shown as a staged suicide and killing rather than a murder by him. Holmes is surprised that he did not mess this up.)
